hi guys! its HST here. for the cip, the idea of haunted house is not really good as i had done some research, it is very difficult to get the materials at a cheap price and it takes a long time to set up. thus, during the recess of the seniors, they probably dont have the time to go through the trail after their eating and the seminar room is at the THRID floor. so i think we can only work out car washing, selling food, and (games)(Probably cannot, same reason as the haunted house)

BTW, anyone cannot go into the Moodle link?i cannot go in.afraid that cannot go in than cannot hand in homework.

Had an idea .
Mr Choo said must benefit people .
So , i think we can have the haunted house .
BUT , at the starting there would be a group of 4 .
Whether they know each other or not , some1 volunters (or we choose) ,
that person would be kept in a place , while the other three must go thru th haunted house to save the friend
OF COURSE , after the person (the one 'captured' ) has gone to the door , the back door ( the exit) he/she would try to make it to the three friends .
So , this way , they get to know each other better (:
Of course , others are the same .
Just , one person start from the back , and three start from the front !
If they manage to meet , then , we give them .. smth ?
But if they didnt , then dun have anything lor (:

Is like RPG game , save your friend ! MUAHAHAHA !

Car Wash

Seriously.
Come' on guys.
Okay.

Its a good suggestion.
But come to think about it.
If we only have a day to complete it.
HOW ARE WE GOING TO MAKE PROFIT??

I know 20people wants car wash cause you can splash water.
Or whatever.
But come to think about it.

Its too tiring.
Dont back out.

Imagine you only got 10hours.
And you spend 3 hours playing.
Which 10-3=7
You got 7 hours left.

The 7hours, sure got people slack.
Okay, imagine you wash a car for 2hours.
7/2=3.5
You only can wash 3 cars.

How much are you going to earn per car?
50dollars?
20? 10? 5?

I dontknow.
I just dont agree with this idea.
its totally TIRING.

Haunted House

It will be a good idea.

You dont know me but i dont care :D
Anyways , about the haunted house (:
We have alrdy went through some discussions.
I guess we are progressing okay ^^

So , i was thinking ..
Why do we use the seminar room instead of other rooms ?
I mean like , imagine you are a sec 2/3/4/5 (which ever one just pick-.-)
Okay , would you ALL the way up to 3rd floor which is like directly opposite the canteen for a haunted house ?
Very FEW of you all will say yes , but most of them will say no.

And plus , Jolies made a good point too.
We are only in FEBRUARY and we are discussing about something in MAY.
We all still have to revise for our Common Tests(which is like next week ?) so people , dont get too excited about this okay !

Anyway , think about the rooms thingy manz !
Cos no one will seriously walk up all the way to the 3rd storey for a haunted house (:

I doubt many people would wan this right ?
Its like after a longg and tiring day of school thn you need to stayback to wash cars under hot sun.
This idea i think its going byebye soon (:

Games
As for this idea , i have asked some of my friends.
They said they very seldom will go for archery unless they are like ...
So yeap , our main focus isnt on the haunted house ONLY (:
Maybe we could do water games ?
It attracts quite alot of people (:
We could use the field to do the water games (if possible ^^)
We can ask Ms Tan about this if you all wan :D

Food
It really depends on what food we are selling.
Well , it has to be filling if not people may go for the canteen's food instead of our food.
And prices must be reasonable too (:

WeiHao, our facil [Hope you kindly remember him~ cause he's like reading this blog-.-]
Requested that we can go to his JC [YJC] to check out a funfair
his school is holding.

Entry is free.
But if you would like to try out their games and food,
You have to kindly give your precious notes and coins to the cashier^^

Haunted House

I think that this idea is abit crazy.
We are talking about sec1's to sec5's here.
Not your normal p1's to p6's.

Scaring them is not easy.

Games

I love this idea.
The crossbow idea is quite okay as what I have stated in my previous post.

But...
We need more games><
Seriously, but truthfully.
The crossbow game itself is already dragged.
EEHOW'S not here and we need to think of something.

Remember, this class is lazy.
We need to plan ahead.

BUT.
WE MUST NOT LEAK ANY INFORMATION OUT.

Okay.
I think that the marathon is not suitable.
Using the word 'marathon' has already shocked my life out-.-
This will succeed if everyone is sporty.

Everyone is moaning about cohort run.
Come'on.

Food

Yum.
I love food.

I have some ideas.
But these ideas MIGHT NOT WORK.
It is because my group[6courage!] did all those.

We made riceballs [which had a very good response, everyone wanted]
And Fondue Stick.

Yum.

Biscuits are good as Miss Tan has the contacts.

For Grace's idea, its good to have icecream.
But it might not really work.
It is also a good try.

GAMES
It's okay , i think . Should be . Cause people PLAY . But please think of something nice . I doubt SEC 3,4,5 would want to play ARCHERY . Or , whatever you gonna have . But i suggest you have a lucky draw for this . This works , i tell you . ( cause i tried (: )

So , what's our target . $200 ?

CAUSE , its possible . My school had this event , and MANY classes got $200 and above . ( we didnt have, cause ... everything we sell , sucks . lawls ~ FOOD )

Hello 1E1 :D
Yeah , its my first time posting HERE .
So must read ^^

Anyway , i think tht splitting groups is a good idea.
Okay , but my point for this post is about the food.
Yeap , ICE CREAM~

Ice cream will be an awesome idea because people in the canteen will prefer these.
And as all of you know , Singapore is a hot country.
So yeah , its easier for ice creams to sell better.
And plus , my mum's friend knows the boss of Ben and Jerry.
So maybe , we may get a discount if we get from B&J (:

Ohyeah , all of you have given suggestions about games etc.
But think about it .
The things you have to buy and all.
It may add up to MORE than what we are going to earn.
So yeah , we need to manage our funds well (:

Okay , and for my opinions for other stuffs.

HAUNTED HOUSE ;
i think this will need loads of money ?
we need to build it up and all.
and plus , if we make alrdy and its not scary , it wont make money.
so i dont quite agree with this idea.

CAR WASHING ;
seriously , we will look damn retarded washing cars.
even if its after school or what , it will still look retarded.
so this idea , i dont agree too.

GAMES ;
this idea is quite okay (:
and maybe , upper sec students may wanna play something more interesting ?
we may come up with some interesting games for them instead of normal funfair games :D
some of the upper sec may think it is quite uhm , lame..
its because they arent small kids.
we need to think more mature-ly (is there sucha word ?)

FOOD ;
im okay with food .
as long as we dont sell same stuffs as what canteen sells can alrdy (:

Hello! So, here are my thoughts after Christabel's post! They are too long to tag on cBox so cannot:D So.

Crossbow:
1. Is it called archery? I think it is:P
2. I think its a good idea recycling cans!
3. But as I said, the whole class will have to decide. Is it dangerous? Is it worth to cough up a bit of money for a game? I agree for the money thing, we will not charge a lot just for like... 3 rounds.... but about the "dangerous thing", the whole class will have to decide that, because if anyone gets hurt, we will be at blame. But since some people don't agree that it is dangerous at all, they can voice their thoughts too. We will go with the majority:D Isn't that fairer? We will also weigh the pros and cons.

Haunted house:
1. Its very time- consuming and hard work, that's true, but I think it gives us and opportunity to shine and show off our creativity.
2. Its ATTRACTIVE, but so is the Archery.
3. Its not dangerous at all and we can put up banners saying like: "Go in if you dare! Suited for secondary school age..."

Anyways, although Christabel's post was a bit like a one- person thing, it helped A LOT. Thanks Christabel!

P.S. 1/5 of class equals to 8 people and 1/4 equals to 10 people. (math math math math!!!)

So here's my opinion and views on Alison's idea which the idea has become better after Rachel's post.

Views & Opinions

~This is just an opinion~ Seriously, but on offence~

CROSSBOW
I think that the crossbow ideas can save us money.
You see, we normally drink canned drinks.
And then we just have to get home and wash them and give it to EeHow.
So simple.

The crossbow since it has been provided, it will be a good idea^^
Its cheap.
And even if it doesnt go so well, we do not lose anything!

HAUNTEDHOUSE
The problem with this project is the space and the money.
You see, the class fund has been used up for the CNY deco and stuff.
We might have other events inbetween that might use up the class fund.

For the Haunted house to work, we need alot, and i mean alot of tall dividers.
Or the haunted house can only be a very short thing.

'FINER'GROUP
Good idea on splitting our class!
But the problem is that...

If we use 1/4 of our class.
It will equal to 5 person.

If we use 1/5 of our class.
It will equal to 4person.

For the crossbow, 4 person will be enough.
And it must be a mixture of boys and girls.
Or no girls will come~ [they are shy^^]

For the haunted house,
Guys might be better as they know how to scare??

CARWASH
I think we should not carry out this plan.
Its abit weird-.-
Seriously.
Or maybe we can carry it out on other days.
Like staying back or soso.

Heya! This is Rachel giving some suggestions:)

I agree with Alison's method of splitting groups, but...

Firstly, we have to split ourselves up in "finer" groups as there is too much work to be done. I think that 1/5 of the people should help with the games while 1/5 of them will do drinks. How bout we have like, many many things like car washing and stuff? then 1/5 of peeps will do car washing, 1/5 will do either Crossbow or Haunted House. The 1/5 will be "management" team. The management team of people will include "towncriers", someone with a loud voice who will shout out updates and offers and venues of events, students who will help to manage queue effectively and some will be on patrol and be like "postmen", a bunch of students sending updates from one vendor to the other.

For Eehow's Crossbow idea... I think that it is good as many boys will surely want to try it and this will get a lot of money$$$$!!! but at the same time, it is a possible weapon and may hurt someone. 1E1 WILL have to take responsibility for that. And So Eehow and some guys will have to watch over the students CAREFULLY.

Jolies be Haunted House leader! She can plan lots of scary stuff and I'll help her:) However, the Haunted House would take very long to build and this may take up quite some class funds. but tis is a sure win:P

I think Yong Jun can be towncrier. he will shout out the venues of our events and updates and offers.

Ok, I think this may be the end of my suggestion. and by the way, I think that carwash may not be such a fantastic idea after all, its very very tiring and few will want to do it. and I think that we should sell halal burgers. no beef. buddhists can't eat beef and it would be mean to tell a muslim "sorry, you can not buy a burger." our school has some malays, we should be considerate.

And I wanna help out with either haunted house or sale. thanks!!!! byee:P

Heya :)

Plans for CIP thing :

¼ of a mixture of girls and guys from our class will go for car washing.

¼ of a mixture of girls and guys from our class will go games stations.

½ of the girls and guys will be in charge of food.

TAKE YOUR PICK! (If its still available...)

-For food, we can include burgers, ice creams, tidbits, home made cookies/biscuits, drinks, and popcorn.

-For Burgers, we need burger buns, salad leaves and beef and/or pork. No Malays will be allowed to buy. Leaves must be fresh and meat must be clean.

-Ice Cream can be bought in a large amount as they are very popular. We need an ice freezer.

-Tidbits are easy to purchase. They can be bought from supermarkets.

-Home made cookies/biscuits can be done by us or bought and repacked.

-Drinks can be packets/cans/syrup water. We need ice, straws, and the cheapest cups.

-Popcorn should be purchased or done by us.

-For food, we must be 100% clean, so that the food would not be contaminated and cause food poisoning.

We will ask Miss Tan for more info and reference. Miss Tan can help us to buy the healthy ingredients and provide us some tips on baking and others.

GAMES AND ACTIVITIES :

GUYS!! Help on this... EeHow has given his suggestion ; crossbow thingy ? He said he'll bring his crossbow then let the people shoot down bottles/cans. i think this is kinda fun IF it isn't dangerous and the upper sec would enjoy playing it i guess? :) another one. Haunted House ? JOLIESTAN(:™ will help out by planning the haunted house IF majority wants. ANYONE, ANY SUGGESTIONS? :) Tag me your suggestions alrighttt, and help! Staybacks will be happening quite soon for this matter. Stay tuned!
